Barb graduated in 1984 obtaining a degree in Applied Science, Physiotherapy, from studies at Lincoln Institute / Melbourne University.
Barbs passion for sport channelled her Physio focus towards Major Sports Clinics in Melbourne and local Sporting teams including Australian Rules Football, Track and Field and Netball.
Barbs Career as a Physiotherapist quickly evolved into the elite and International sporting arena including teams in Australian Paralympic, International Paralympics and World Championships. As Australian Team Physiotherapist it required a broad coverage of all sports with a targeted focus on Track and Field, Swimming and Basketball athletes.
During this period there was further expansion working at The Australian Tennis Open and State Ballet.
In 1997 a move overseas gave opportunity to continue her Career at an internationally acclaimed Private Clinic for 10 years in Singapore and joining the elite Physio Sports Group to work on the Professional Golf Circuit. Rehabilitating and Treating the World’s leading Professional Golfers for the PGA, European, Asian and One Asia Tour has continued both locally and overseas.
Since returning to Melbourne in 2013 to work at both Spring Physio Gym and Kooyong Physiotherapy Clinic, Barbs interests have expanded into ergonomics especially with working from home challenges, school sports, Pilates classes and fitness for the more mature clients.
Barb has a keen interest to stay fit with daily exercise. She is a past National and State Junior 400M Hurdles record holder and has maintained her interest in all aspects of sport, local, social and elite.
Barb enjoys the opportunity to work on rehabilitation and programs to restore her clients to their pre-injury status and beyond.
